More than just a new line of speakers, Bose L1 portable line array systems represent a new approach to live sound. One that allows both you and the audience to experience your sound, the way you want it to be heard, without massive amounts of live sound gear. Sound levels stay so consistent throughout the venue, there's no need for separate monitor and PA speaker systems.
Voice and instrument sounds are spread out across the stage and come from the performer's location, not from a PA speaker off to the side. Plus, L1 systems project sound at nearly 180 degrees, for uniform coverage and smooth, consistent tone; and the sound level drops off much more slowly than with a conventional speaker.
Take the guesswork out of getting exceptional sound with the T1 ToneMatch audio engine. Skilled studio engineers listened to a wide range of popular instruments playing through an L1 system, made adjustments to optimize sound quality, then saved those settings in a large library of ToneMatch presets. Just indicate your instrument or microphone, and the L1 system automatically adapts. The L1 Model II system with T1 commands up to three microphones or four instruments, each with their own presets and effects.
Proprietary zEQ tone controls let you make further adjustments after selecting your ToneMatch preset. Ordinary tone controls are generic by design, with "High," "Mid," and "Low" controls spread out across the entire musical spectrum. But with the touch of a button, Bose zEQ automatically shifts the range of these controls to correspond directly to the range of your instrument. The B1 bass module completes the audio experience by filling in the entire low-end spectrum.
