Since 1982, Bruce Forat has customized drum machines and keyboards for some of the biggest names in the industry including Prince, Dr. Dre, The Neptunes, Will.i.am, Lil' Jon, Snoop Dog, RZA, Jermaine Dupree and Madonna.
Guitar Center’s Hi–Tech Custom Shop and Bruce Forat have collaborated to bring you the ultimate example of exclusive, customized gear. We’ve teamed up with RZA, who is not only a Producer / Artist but also the mastermind behind THE WU-TANG CLAN. We are now proud to present The FORAT / RZA Custom Shop ROLAND MV-8800 – “8 Diagrams” Special Edition.
There will be a total of 12 machines in the collection:
- Only 8 machines will be available for public sale @ $5,999.99 each
- As part of the package, each customer who purchases a unit will also have the unique opportunity to have an in depth tutorial production session* with RZA at a top name studio with all eight purchasers
- Each machine will have one of a kind artwork, themed after the newest Wu-Tang Clan album “8 Diagrams”
- All machines will be loaded with extra RAM and output option installed
- Each machine will contain track #3 “Get Them Out Ya Way Pa” from “8 Diagrams”
Sale Information
On February 28th at 10pm PST all 8 custom machines will be available for purchase. They will be on display in the Hollywood location during that evenings SESSIONS event and only available to walk-in customers – first come, first served. Any units that remain unsold at the end of the night will be available for sale the following day, February 29th. These units can be viewed online here and will be available for sale by all stores via phone or SIT’s, etc.
- Deposits may be taken but a full payment is required to secure a unit
- Due to the unique nature of these products, all sales of the Forat RZA Custom Shop Limited Editions are final and excluded from Guitar Center’s 30/30 Policy (30 Day Return and 30 Day Guaranteed Lowest price) and strictly subject to availability
- Limit one per customer
* Special Terms for Tutorial Production Session (the “Session”)
Only one Session will be offered at a specific date to be determined in Guitar Center’s sole discretion. No makeup Session or reschedules will be offered.
Session is not transferrable, and any attempt to transfer will be void.
Guitar Center will provide coach airfare from major air hub in the continental United States to LAX and 2 days/3 nights hotel accommodations, specifics all at Guitar Center’s sole discretion. Guitar Center will not be responsible for additional travel expenses and you must either be 18 years of age or older or you must be accompanied by a legal guardian at your sole expense.
